    KOF Covid-19 WAI Explorer

    Welcome to the KOF Covid-19 Web-Based Affectedness Indicator (WAI) Explorer. This tool lets you map and visualize the economic affectedness from Covid- 19 mentioned on company website across cities worldwide. The explorer relies on a sample of 5,429,830 geocoded companies with at least 5 employees with historical website information ranging from January 2020 to December 2022. You can explore the data at country or city level, select time ranges, industries and different levels of affectedness. The map shows the fraction of affected firms weighted by their number of employees in a given location. Details about data collection and processing can be found in the article referenced below.
